Major Christian News Questioning Chick-Fil-A’s Gay-Affirming Sponsorship

Pulpit & Pen was the first to report on the capitulation of the evangelical community to LGBTs by their participation in Level Ground’s film festival event which seeks to find common ground between homosexuals and Christians, and ultimately normalize homosexual behavior within the church. Pulpit & Pen received quite a bit of backlash on social … Read more

Passion Church out of Maple Grove, MN held their Thriller performance on Oct 18, and Oct 25, followed byJonathan Brozozog’s “sermon” titled “Haunted House.” No, I’m not kidding. Karen Swallow Prior and an Animal Rights Trojan Horse in the ERLC

See the guy engaged in “heavy petting,” tender caressing and kissing the cow he “saved” from slaughter? This video was recently posted by the Humane Society of the United States as a part of their “Farm Animal Protection Campaign,” the same Humane Society which employs a “faith advisory council” upon which ERLC Research Fellow Karen … Read more

Douglas Wilson, Pedophiles and Pastors

I keep hearing a rumbling in the distance somewhere, the yonder droning on of what I believe sounds like survivor blogs, cackling and clucking about Douglas Wilson and pedophiles. Here are the facts (so it seems): A pedophile named Steven Sitler had become a part of Christ Church, where Douglas presides. When Sitler’s crimes were exposed to … Read more

Ed Stetzer, Vice President of Lifeway Insights Division and executive director of Lifeway Research, will speak at the upcoming Spreading Peace Convocation. The Convocation is a gathering of Christian pastors and Islamic imams, and is designed – … Read more

Persecution in the Pew

Beheadings of Christians by ISIS. Crosses forcibly torn off churches by the Chinese government. Pastors imprisoned. Believers tortured for leaving Islam or sharing the gospel. The treatment our brothers and sisters across the globe receive at the hands of pagans is nearly unfathomable. They are made to suffer – simply for claiming the name of … Read more

Why Not Make a Secular Song into Worship Music?

In today’s podcast I recalled, during the first few minutes of the program, my martial troubles. These troubles began as I rearranged some words to a love song I had written another woman in my earlier life and changed the names around, and gifted the love ballad to my wife. She wasn’t pleased. I don’t … Read more

Progressive Theology

In this age of progress, religious opinions move at railway speed. Within the last few weeks many have made an open advance of a very special kind; we say an open advance, for we suspect that secretly they had for a long time harbored the errors which now they have avowed. And what a revelation it is! Here, one sees a “Moderate” declaring his advance to “another gospel” in the boldest terms; and there, another, highly esteemed for his supposed love of the truth, stubbing it after the subtle manner of its most malicious foes. While some of the most perverted cunningly endeavor to appear orthodox, others of a braver nature come out in their true colors, and astonish us with the glaring hue of their heresy. That which makes manifest is light; and, however much we may deplore the unwelcome discoveries of the present controversy, we ought to be thankful that they are made, for it is better for us to know where we are, and with whom we are associating.

Luke Chapter 2, verse 1-7

1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. 2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 4 And Joseph also … Read more

Rick Warren and Joseph Prince Share Stage in Australia

Wherever there is compromise, you’ll find Rick Warren. If you can’t wait until September to see Rick Warren compromise the Gospel by co-preaching a “word from God” with a Roman Catholic priest at the World Meeting of Families, his current compromise should hold you over until then. In fact, he couldn’t find anyone to compromise … Read more

Southern Baptists, Tear Down These Buildings!

Russell Moore, to the echoing sound of cheap applause, has called for South Carolina to remove the Confederate Flag in light of the recent shooting in Charleston. Moore has stated… “The cross and the Confederate flag cannot co-exist without one setting the other on fire…” As Pulpit & Pen argued previously, the problem is not mere … Read more
