Major Christian News Questioning Chick-Fil-A’s Gay-Affirming Sponsorship

Pulpit & Pen was the first to report on the capitulation of the evangelical community to LGBTs by their participation in Level Ground’s film festival event which seeks to find common ground between homosexuals and Christians, and ultimately normalize homosexual behavior within the church. Pulpit & Pen received quite a bit of backlash on social media for the reporting of Liberty University professor, and ERLC research fellow, Karen Swallow Prior, for her partnering with the homosexual group.

The gay-affirming organization that masquerades as a “gay Christian” coalition lists the Christian-owned restaurant, Chick-Fil-A, as a major sponsor of the event. Now, several major Christian news outlets are asking Chick-Fil-A, and Karen Swallow Prior, to answer for the association with the gay-affirming event.

Baptist News Global reports:

Participants in the group’s most recent film festival, held Oct. 8-10 in Nashville, Tenn., included former contemporary Christian artist Jennifer Knapp, who came out as a lesbian in 2005, and Karen Swallow Prior, a Liberty University English professor and research fellow for the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention. Sponsors included Gracepointe Church, an evangelical church in Franklin, Tenn., that made headlines in January by coming out in support of marriage equality

and CharismaNews reports:

The festival isn’t the chain’s first open support for LGBT rights. Earlier this summer, the home of the original chicken sandwich donated food to a gay pride parade in Iowa. originally reported that an online petition had been launched asking the CEO of Chick-Fil-A to explain why his pro-marriage business is now sponsoring LGBT film festivals. “Chick-fil-A came under fire in 2012 from homosexual advocates after President Dan Cathy spoke in favor of Biblical marriage,” says CN.

What appears to be nothing more than a submission to the homosexual mafia by pro-Christian organizations really isn’t all that unusual. So-called evangelicals, like Karen Swallow Prior, see nothing wrong with yoking up with unbelievers, disregarding 2 Corinthians 6:14. In fact, she is thankful for Chick-Fil-A’s sponsorship of the event.

So when will the Southern Baptist Convention stand up against the liberal invasion in the church that seeks to undermine the authority of Scripture?

For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. – Jude 4
