Does Ed Stetzer Debunk an Urban Legend?

[Captain Cassidy] A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, I wrote about the way that bad ideas enter the canon of Christian beliefs. The bad idea I examined back then was love the sinner, hate the sin. As terrible as that idea is, and as demonstrably impossible as it is for Christians to put it into … Read more

Pastor Exposes Southern Baptist Deep State; Ed Stetzer Loses It

SBC Today, of which we are not ordinarily fond of because they are on the other side of the soteriological aisle and because their nomenclature of “traditional” is hardly astute, published an article entitled, “Is This the Evangelical Deep State”? Drawing parallels to the “Deep State” – an assortment of entrenched bureaucrats without ties to … Read more

Wheaton College, Ed Stetzer, Hijabs, and Gay Pride Flags

Remember last year when Ed Stetzer decided to leave Lifeway to pursue a prestigious career at Wheaton College as the director of The Billy Graham Distinguished Endowed Chair for Church, Mission, and Evangelism? Stetzer, who still serves as General Editor for the Gospel Project, a Sunday School course designed for Southern Baptist and like-minded Evangelical churches, … Read more

Kum-Ba-Yah-Ism With Ecumenical Ed Stetzer

Ed Stetzer, the Executive Director of Gospel Compromise and Ecumenical Outreach … no, wait, he’s the Executive Director of LifeWay Research. What was I thinking? Oh, I know, I was thinking about his behavior rather than his proclamation. Forgive me. It’s an easy enough mistake that anyone in the Southern Baptist Convention could make, really. … Read more

Will Alex Malarkey get shouted down by Floyd at the SBC?

If you haven’t heard of the Lifeway scandal, regarding #the15 by now, I recommend reading this article. The debacle revolves around the Southern Baptist entity, Lifeway Bookstores, who serves as the publishing branch of the convention. Lifeway, as a representative of the SBC has been called out for peddling heretical materials by unsound teachers, as well as Heaven tourism books, for profit, and not responding to criticism for their actions. One particular heretical book Lifeway peddled for years for monetary gain is “The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven.” The book, though officially co-authored by Alex Malarkey and his Father, was actually a work completely by Alex’s father, that Alex himself never supported. Alex recanted his story publicly, his mother publicly wrote about it, and world class apologist, and former Lifeway trustee, Justin Peters, even informed Lifeway about Alex’s recantation years before the book was finally pulled from the shelves after a massive outcry by #the15, and Alex’s recantation made viral through the Pulpit and Pen website.

Triggered: SBC Leader Says Critics of Female Speaking at Convention Are ‘Endangering’ Her

A constant refrain in the era of Antifa and protest culture is that “words aren’t violence.” Liberals, leftists, and millennials who have had their minds coddled often confuse speech with actual physical violence. One would expect better from SBC pastor conference president, David Uth. But then again, we should also expect Uth not to stack … Read more

SBC Chooses Gay-Friendly, Scandal-Plagued Leftist to Stop Reform Efforts

The Southern Baptist Convention, led by 2019 Worst Christian of the Year, JD Greear, is facing the likelihood of numerous resolutions aimed at reforming the denomination and stopping its leftward trajectory. The Resolutions Committee serves the function of dismissing, approving, or amending resolutions brought to the SBC annual meeting by messengers of local churches. As … Read more

Remember that ‘Christianity Today’ is Backed by George Soros

Christianity Today called for the U.S. Senate to affirm the impeachment of the U.S. House against President Donald J. Trump. As you soak that in, we’ll remind you that it’s already been reported by this publication (and others) that Christianity Today is a Soros front organization. The post, previously mentioned in an earlier article today … Read more

Jared Wilson Complains People Use Term “Heresy” For Heresy-Peddling Website

In a case of extreme irony, a Twitter-minister and Social Gospel Coalition author, Jared Wilson, wrote an article complaining about the use of the term “heresy” on a retail website that sells Word-Faith theology, Roman Catholic mysticism, Eastern Orthodoxy books, and the prosperity gospel. Jared Wilson is a famously wind-blown doctrinal chameleon whose positions on … Read more

Pastor Questions Bible’s Truth Because Not Enough Black People Helped Translate It

A contributor to Christianity Today, the default publication of the Evangelical Left, questioned the veracity of the Bible on the grounds that not enough black people helped translate its various English versions. Esau McCaulley, a contributor to Christianity Today (he had a race-baiting article in the publication just today) and proponent of Black Liberation Theology … Read more

Beth Moore is Still Being Abused by Men, And it Should Stop

BETH MOORE, ABUSE VICTIM During the media outrage caused by the fake allegations against Brett Kavanaugh, Beth Moore came forward as a victim of sexual abuse. Using the #whyididn’treport hashtag, Moore said, “He lived in my house.” Immediately, Moore began to receive the positive accolades of the evangelical leftist elite who would have been content … Read more

Evangelical SJWs and LGBT Successfully Teamed Up to Get Tech Giants to ‘Demonetize” P&P

Social Justice Warriors associated with The Gospel Coalition and ‘woke’ evangelicalism have teamed up with the LGBT lobby to get tech giants, Google and Amazon, to demonetize Pulpit & Pen by flagging it as ‘hate speech.’ Pulpit & Pen is not the first conservative news and/or commentary outlet to be censored by the technocracy. Praeger … Read more

The SJW Boycott of Pulpit & Pen Failed…Miserably. Here’s why.

Last week, leftists and Social Justice Warriors called for a boycott of Pulpit & Pen, which is independent and often times blunt Christian news. Incensed (whether real or fake) at our use of “trigger words” regarding an Intersectional Golden Goose, Jackie Hill Perry, snowflakes melted into a collective puddle on Social Media. Hundreds of Social Justice Warriors … Read more

What You Need to Know About the Dallas Statement on Social Justice

I don’t think people adequately understand the significance of The Dallas Statement (as I call it) and its reception. Let me put some thoughts down here and explain exactly what has happened and what is happening. As someone who has been covering the mission drift of the Young, Restless and Reformed (YRR) into social progressivism … Read more
