Ed Stetzer Honors NAR Heretic, Neo-Montanist and Church Growth Charlatan C. Peter Wagner’s Passing

Just recently on Friday, October 21st at 2:30 pm false apostolic teacher C. Peter Wagner passed into eternity.  One of Wagner’s best friends, “apostle” Chuck Pierce, confirmed Wagner’s death on his Facebook page Friday.  In honor of Wagner’s death, longtime friend Ed Stetzer wrote an article at Christianity Today entitled “C. Peter Wagner (1930-2016), Some … Read more

Justin Peters & Jim Osman On Spiritual Warfare: Spiritual Mapping

“It is difficult to point to a more disastrous, dangerous, and destructive practice in modern spiritual warfare theology than that of engaging in ‘territorial spirits.”  Jim Osman The Latin phrase hic sunt dracones, or “Here Be Dragons,” while perhaps popular in seafaring mythology, seems to have had minimal actual usage in ancient cartography.  The Hunt-Lenox … Read more

War Room: A Review by Justin Peters

If you do not know the Kendrick brothers by name, you almost certainly know them by their films: Flywheel (2003),Facing the Giants (2006), Fireproof (2008), and Courageous (2011). Stephen, Alex, and Shannon Kendrick have just released their fifth faith-based film, War Room. War Room, starring popular Bible teachers Priscilla Shirer and Beth Moore, looks like it may well be the most successful of their films to date bringing in $11 million just on its opening weekend; more than triple it’s $3 million production budget.

Given the popularity of Christian themed films and the considerable buzz about this one in particular, my wife, Kathy, and I went to see War Room on the evening of September 3rd so that I could write a review. For those of you who read my review of Mark Burnett and Roma Downey’s movie, Son of God, you know that I am a bit skeptical of the Christian movie genre as a whole. Nonetheless, I do want to offer what I hope to be a fair review. This review will not touch on every single facet of the movie or even on every theme it presents, but I do hope to address what I believe to be the most important of them.

On Michael Brown’s Support for “little god theology” Todd White

Michael Brown, who is treated as an innocent and harmless Christian by less-discerning evangelicals, has proven that no amount of unorthodoxy is left uncovered by deceiving smile and happy disposition. The man is a danger to the church. Churchwatch Central examines his most recent endorsement of parlor-trickery expert and mentalist, Todd White. [Churchwatch Central] It … Read more

Lauding Heretic, Eugene Peterson, Beth Moore Compares Him to Beethoven

Beth Moore recently likened the author of The Message “translation” – perhaps the worst Bible translation in the history of mankind – to Jane Austen, John Steinbeck, and Ludwig von Beethoven. If you know anything about Bible translation, this is face-palmingly stupid. Beth Moore is to a serious theologian what Alexandria Ocasio- Cortez is to … Read more

Jordan Peterson: The MLK of the 21st Century…but better.

Martin Luther King Jr. was a thought leader, a civil rights activist, and an icon. King, although articulate and pivotal, was not necessarily essential to the Civil Rights Movement even though he was central to it. Others came before him and stood beside him to free mankind from the tyranny of discrimination and remnants of … Read more

The Gospel Coalition Attacks Jordan Peterson

Jordan Peterson has gleaned more understanding about God and his created order from natural revelation than leftist Christians have gleaned about God and his created order from special revelation. I started with the strongest statement on this issue I could make, and did so to form the thesis of this article. Jordan Peterson, who is … Read more

[Esther O’Reilly | Patheos] I’m not sure what people were expecting from Dr. Jordan Peterson’s recent appearance at Liberty University, but nobody could have predicted what happened about halfway through. At roughly the 21-minute mark in the convocation (link here), as Peterson is answering a question, there’s a commotion offstage. A young man rushes up … Read more

Moore of Babylon

The Moore of Babylon? It’s not uncommon these days to use ‘click bait’ titles to grab the attention of the reading audience – however is this article title a warning of things to come?
