Anti-Social Justice Conference Features Disgraced “Pastor” Greg Locke

Seth Dunn

This weekend, the GK Podcast Network hosted an online event entitled “The Destroy Social Justice Conference.” For a $30 fee, registrants could live stream a number of presentations from the conference’s lineup of speakers. The conference advertised its content and speakers as follows:

This lineup of speakers will dive deep into the issue of Social Justice and help you to understand the history, the problem and the solution. While Social Justice started out as a political movement, it’s infiltration into the church has become extremely apparent over the last several years, and this conference is going to flat out destroy this warped and unbiblical belief system.

Unfortunately this conference is headlined by the disgraced, self-appointed, adulterous, and unqualified Tennessee “pastor” Greg Locke. Locke is the founder of his own church, Global Vision Bible Church in Mt. Juliet Tennessee, and was most notable for being a popular internet pundit before making news by divorcing his wife of 20 years and marrying his secretary. Somehow, a conference featuring multiple pastors which is ostensibly intended to address a threat to the church is being headlined by a known wolf.

As Christian soldiers contend against heretical movements like the social gospel, they need to pay attention to the men fighting on either side of them. Partnering with known wolves, no matter how well-spoken they are, only weakens or obfuscates the message. Take for example, Pastor Sam Jones, who is the host of the Shining Lights Podcast and the pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Hudson, Iowa. He recently spoke (along with Jeff Dornik of the GK Podcast Network) at the Stand Against Marxism Conference in Des Moines, Iowa. That conference featured Steve Deace, Jannet Mefferd, Phil Haney, and Pulpit & Pen’s own Jordan Hall. Now, Jones’ witness stands ruined. How can anyone seriously believe that Jones and his partners at the Destroy Social Justice Conference (or any other future conferences) truly care about the flock when they partner with a man, Greg Locke, who actively devours it?

If Sam Jones can speak with Greg Locke on Saturday night and then step in the Lord’s pulpit to preach on Sunday morning, then his fitness to stand for biblical justice must be questioned. Don’t let this happen to your own witness. As you stand against the social justice monster currently devouring American evangelicalism, be careful that you don’t sacrifice your own holiness to gain allies in an earthly war. On the left, there will be social justice warriors and progressives such as Russell Moore looking to use other people’s money to further their liberal agenda. On the apparent right, there will be talking heads sporting the title of “pastor” and selling conference tickets to scared and concerned Christians. Good discernment smokes out both kinds of threats to the church.

**I reached out to Thomas Littleton about his participation in the Destroy Social Justice Conference. Thomas stated that his contribution to the conference was taped and that he was unaware of Greg Locke’s involvement when he submitted it.
