Hillsong MegaChurch Turned into Actual Circus

News Division

Back in the 19th century, the famous ‘Prince of Preachers’, Charles Haddon Spurgeon offered this frightful prediction:

“A time will come when instead of shepherds feeding the sheep, the church will have clowns entertaining the goats.”

Fast forward to the 21st century Spurgeon’s discerning prediction has come to pass, with the goats coming in droves, cheering the clowns and entertainers at Hillsong – whose ‘gospel of entertainment’ does nothing more than mock God’s holy Word and cast a shadow over godly men who are truly faithful to their calling. The lost do not need false teachers that move with the deceptive culture of this world, they need true shepherds who move the lost toward the righteousness found only in Jesus Christ – when the gospel is faithfully delivered.

“He leads me beside still waters.”

In his latest post our good friend and fellow polemicist RC, from ‘Reformation Charlotte’, warns the body of Christ about the ‘literal freak show’ offered up by Hillsong Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.

RC writes:

Level-headed biblically-minded Christians have oft referred to Hillsong as a circus. But what they may not realize is that Hillsong isn’t just a circus metaphorically speaking — Hillsong is literally a circus.

Hillsong Gold Coast, led by James & Elida Turner, recently put on a circus performance at their campus. Not kidding. In a program they call #SundayNightAtTheMovies, they put on such an outlandish and ridiculous stunt that even the most biblically-ignorant unbelievers can look at this and tell it has absolutely nothing to do with Christianity. It’s a freak show. A literal freak show.

Of course, now that Barnum & Bailey are out, someone has to step in and fill their shoes. It’s no wonder their top artists and leaders renounce their faith — this is not Christianity. Below are some pictures from the recent performance.
