Calvinism is a doctrine of devils. They think babies go to hell and don’t believe in evangelism. Their trinity is the Father, Son, and John Calvin. Or so some would have you think.
A new documentary has been created to expose what its creators feel is a dangerous doctrine commonly known as Calvinism. Created by the Faith Baptist Church of Violet, Louisiana, a trailer was recently released on Facebook that gives a glimpse into the movie.
Taking to task various Calvinist theologians and pastors like John MacArthur, James White, Jeff Durbin, Paul Washer, and R.C. Sproul, the film will also highlight the preaching of non-Calvinist pastors, like Steven Anderson of the Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, Arizona.
The film trailer slows down words from John MacArthur, to make him sound demonic, and highlights a clip from James White who seems to be saying that God ordains child rape. White, as most Calvinist theologians do, differentiates between God’s revealed will (that which is revealed in Sacred Writings, like the Ten Commandments) and God’s decreed will, which is not so much a category of “right and wrong” but an eternal declaration about how all things fit into his eternal plan. This nuance seems to be overlooked by the crafters of the documentary, at least if the trailer is any indication.
Other Calvinists in the film trailer include Jeff Durbin, Paul Washer, Todd Friel, and John Piper, and even a painting of Charles H. Spurgeon.
The film will also highlight the preaching and words of Pastor Joe Major of Faith Baptist Church (who is sponsoring the film) and evangelist Adam Fannin, of Stedfast Baptist Church in Jacksonville, who will take a position against Calvinism along with Steven Anderson.

“Calvinism” is a colloquial expression, or shorthand, for someone who believes that salvation is by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Typically, a belief in these fundamental truths of the Gospel are categorized into five sub-points which form the framework for the Gospel (or as some call it, “Calvinism”). These include Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited Atonement, Iresistible Grace, and Perseverance of Faith, which forms the often used acronym, TULIP.
Many, if not most, of the prominent preachers and teachers of Christianity have held to Calvinism including Jonathan Edwards, George Whitefield, the Puritans, Pilgrims, and English non-conformists that eventually found their way to America and founded our Republic.
Proponents of Calvinism do not believe that John Calvin created the Doctrines of Grace, but that he articulated the teaching of Jesus, Paul, and the New Testament Apostolic writers during a pivotal period of history when the Gospel was being reclaimed from the Roman Catholic Church.
The documentary, Calvinism: A Doctrine of Devils, will be released in January of 2019.
