Jackie Hill Perry Embraces Bethel Cult, Discernment Leaders Silent [See Editor’s Note at End for Update]

A popular Intersectional celebrity who regularly preaches alongside men like John MacArthur recently endorsed a leader in what is perhaps the most radical sub-Christian and hyper-charismatic cult in America. Jackie Hill Perry, a militant social justice warrior and subversive LGBTQ speaker, fully embraced Bethel Church’s Jen Johnson over the weekend. Perry, who is heavily promoted … Read more

Remember Back When Russell Moore Promoted Patriarchy?

In what is an amazing turn of events, the leftist-progressive and “soft-complementarian” (also known as an egalitarian) and Beth Moore’s chief Southern Baptist armor bearer, Russell Moore, dropped some incredible lines in defense of Patriarchy. Yes, that’s right. You might have thought you would never live to see it, but the soft-handed yard gnome mascot … Read more

Russell Moore Defends Catholic Celibacy in Light of Baptist Abuse Scandal

The ERLC president, Russell Moore, responded to the recent Southern Baptist sex abuse report and in doing so, seemed to defend the Romanist church regarding their teaching on priest celibacy. The leftist-progressive Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) of the Southern Baptist Convention was pre-positioned and poised perfectly to capitalize on the news as the … Read more

Russell Moore – the president of the SBC’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission – whose last known political affiliation was the Democratic Party while serving as a staffer for a Democratic legislator, is joining his fellow Democrats in calling for the resignation of Ralph Northam. Northam, a Democrat who won the Virginia governorship from Republican, … Read more

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Thinks Jesus Was in Bethlehem as Refugee

Usually when we cover someone butchering the Scriptural narrative to push Marxist ideology it’s Timothy Keller. This time around it’s another New York liberal, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Ocasio-Cortez, the congresswoman-elect for New York’s congressional district has apparently picked up on cues from Christian liberals like Keller, Russell Moore, and the other leftist evangelicals who insist that … Read more

POLITICAL SUBVERSION MOVING CHRISTIANS INTO DEMOCRAT PARTY FOLD [Thirty Pieces of Silver] Midterm elections demonstrate that the classic battle lines are being redrawn among Evangelical voters. Ongoing and concerted efforts through American conservative Christian seminaries, churches and secular mainstream media are intensifying to reshape the foundations and convictions which drive the Evangelical vote. Leadership continues … Read more

Moore of Babylon

The Moore of Babylon? It’s not uncommon these days to use ‘click bait’ titles to grab the attention of the reading audience – however is this article title a warning of things to come? As the title suggests, the topic is Beth Moore (and her fellow NARpostles). We explore there the possibility that her ministry … Read more

As SBC Moves Egalitarian, Remember Russell Moore Promoted Patriarchy

I just made mention of the “old days,” which would be, in Reformed evangelical circles, about six months ago, and even earlier. – Douglas Wilson, here. The thing about the Downgrade – the theological notion defined here – is that it happens so quickly you hardly notice. It is, as Spurgeon said, “going downhill at … Read more

Give Me Moore, Moore, and Moore – ERLC Conference 2018

When I first saw the tweet from Russell Moore that he had invited Beth Moore to the 2018 Ethics and Religious Liberties Commission (ERLC) conference, I, along with my colleagues, thought it was a joke. Seriously, we thought he was just trying to be funny. But then I thought, “he invited Andy Stanley to his … Read more

Naming Names: Donald Trump, Russell Moore, and the Crucible of American Evangelicalism

“Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work. If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive … Read more

Russell Moore: Advancing Socialism ”starts with the Church.”

The Southern Baptist’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission’s President, Russell Moore, has been very outspoken about the need for the Church to address racism. In fact, the majority of the SBC’s leadership has followed him into this rabbit hole and made dealing with racism their personal mission, as well as one of the official missions … Read more

War Room: A Review by Justin Peters

If you do not know the Kendrick brothers by name, you almost certainly know them by their films: Flywheel (2003),Facing the Giants (2006), Fireproof (2008), and Courageous (2011). Stephen, Alex, and Shannon Kendrick have just released their fifth faith-based film, War Room. War Room, starring popular Bible teachers Priscilla Shirer and Beth Moore, looks like it may well be the most successful of their films to date bringing in $11 million just on its opening weekend; more than triple it’s $3 million production budget.

Given the popularity of Christian themed films and the considerable buzz about this one in particular, my wife, Kathy, and I went to see War Room on the evening of September 3rd so that I could write a review. For those of you who read my review of Mark Burnett and Roma Downey’s movie, Son of God, you know that I am a bit skeptical of the Christian movie genre as a whole. Nonetheless, I do want to offer what I hope to be a fair review. This review will not touch on every single facet of the movie or even on every theme it presents, but I do hope to address what I believe to be the most important of them.

Should Women Study Systematic Theology?

Women should study systematic theology. This is something I thought was obvious to other Christians walking around planet earth. Apparently it isn’t. Some controversy has arisen lately on Twitter (I’m not yet ready to call it “X”) as to whether half of the Christian population should study the various doctrines of Christianity. As far as … Read more
