A prayer request was posted at Red Letter Christians by Tony Campolo’s family, sharing publicly that the website’s founder, who is 85 years old, had a stroke two weeks ago that left him partially paralyzed the left side of his face and body.
The post on the popular progressive website that likely boasts less than 1% Christians, was written by his son. He shares:
“Since then he has been recovering and working on rehabilitation on the ground floor of the Beaumont Health Center, while his wife Peggy – who is prohibited from entering his room due to COVID19 – patiently sits outside his window for most of each day, talking with him and overseeing his care.”
The best way to support and encourage Tony and Peggy is to send cards and emails that let them know you love them, are praying for them, and don’t expect a reply.
We encourage all our listeners to pray for Tony, who might be rightfully thought of the founding fathers of the progressive left that has been advocating for social justice, full LGBT inclusion, and pro-choice positions.
Pray for his salvation, that Christ would grant him repentance. His health, quite frankly, is a non-issue in light of his soul. Also pray imprecatory prayers on Red Letter Christians, that God would convert them all, or that the whole site would burn down to the ground.
