Mefferd Lets Greear Have It For Coddling Up to Anti-Semite

News Division

Janet Mefferd blasted SBC President J.D. Greear during an appearance on the Todd Starnes Radio Show Wednesday. Mefferd compared the Beta Male, apologetic performance of Southern Baptist Convention president J.D. Greear to the Alpha Male performance of Omar Suleiman—an allegedly anti-Israel, anti-Semitic Imam.

Greear appeared on stage during an interfaith dialogue with an anti-Semitic, anti-Israel Imam last Thursday evening at North Carolina State University. And Mefferd wasn’t impressed with Greear.

“It was embarrassing,” Mefferd said. “I would say that as a Christian, it was embarrassing to see Christian representation where J.D. Greear was basically falling all over himself to apologize for Christians and do nothing to confront what Sharia Ideology is around the world for our brothers and sisters in Christ.”

Starnes offered a similar analysis of Greear’s apologetic focus.

“I watched the video and I just came away with the impression that it is always the Christian’s fault,” Starnes said. “That we have got to do a better job of getting along with Muslims.”

Mefferd’s analysis didn’t stop there. She pointed out the different attitudes of the very submissive, apologetic Greear compared to the energetic Imam.

Mefferd said what “really stuck out to me was J.D. Greear came across as a very Beta Male against Suleiman’s Alpha Male. You could see when you watched the video, he is kind of apologetic. He is kind of insulting Christians, saying Christians are really annoying. He was saying that sometimes they are unhealthy; (Christians) voted for Trump because they see him as a Strongman. He just kept bashing his side.”

Mefferd said Greear’s appearance on stage with an anti-Israel Imam runs counter to the history of the SBC.

“I was concerned because first and foremost I know how strongly the Southern Baptist Convention supports Israel,” Mefferd said. “You have at least nine resolutions that I have seen that strongly voice support for the Nation of Israel by Southern Baptists. Praying for the nation of Israel. Supporting the right of Israel to exist as a sovereign state.”

Mefferd warned that often times interfaith dialogue can be a tool used by radicals to attack Christianity.

“It is actually put out there by al-Qaradawi, who is the spiritual advisor of the Muslim Brotherhood, that they want to use interfaith dialogue to divide Christians, to bring Christians into the Muslim faith, and also to rally Christians against Israel,” Mefferd said.

Ultimately, the people of the SBC should act, Mefferd said.

“The people of the SBC supported Israel overwhelmingly and they should be upset about this and demand accountability about this,” Mefferd said.

Unfortunately, as we reported elsewhere, the SBC Elites appear to be trying to bury this important story.
