In June of last year, we reported that Jim Bakker was selling ointment to cure venereal disease, and it sounded like he had first-hand experience with its healing claims. Now Bakker is claiming that same venereal disease ointment heals coronavirus.
We kid you not.
In an excerpt first published by Right Wing Watch and Friendly Atheist (credit to where it is due), Bakker made the claims that coronavirus was treatable with his super-secret silver solution previously used to clear up V.D.
The Mayo Clinic, by the way, is warning people against using the potentially dangerous product.
Bakker’s claim is weird, considering his associate, Rick Wiles, claims that Christians are immune to coronavirus.
The conversation on the Jim Bakker Show went like this:
BAKKER: This influenza, that is now circling the globe, you’re saying that Silver Solution would be effective?
SELLMAN (ironic name): Well, let’s say it hasn’t been tested on this strain of the coronavirus, but it’s been tested on other strains of the coronavirus and has been able to eliminate it within 12 hours. Totally eliminates it. Kills it. Deactivates it. And then it boosts your immune system, so then you can support the recovery, ’cause when you kill the virus then your immune system comes into action to clear it out. So you want a vibrant immune system as well as an ability to deactivate these viruses.
Sooner or later, this snake-oil garbage is going to get people killed.
