Dr. Michael Brown Denies Confidence in Literal Creation Account

The renown charismatic apologist and New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) leader, Dr. Michael Brown, recently denied confidence in the literal creation account given in the Bible. Instead, Brown claimed that believing in an “old earth” view propagated by Socinians and theistic evolutionists could be equally as valid.

With all of the sham miracles, false signs and wonders, and scandal-cover-ups, it should be clear that the Holy Spirit is not at work in the modern charismatic movement. Its greatest leaders are also its most well-documented false prophets. As Dr. Michael Brown recently demonstrated regarding Biblical creation, the charismatic movement is not anointed by the Holy Spirit, who leads us into truth.

Brown posted a video entitled, Why I Am Not Dogmatic on the Creation Account, meaning that he is not inclined to lay down principles that he will vouch for as being true.

Michael Brown, who believes that Todd White lengthens legs, Kenneth Copeland controls the weather, and that people take vacation trips to Heaven and back, is not led by the Spirit into the knowledge of the truth (John 16:13). He is regularly deceived by the most absurd and outlandish extra-biblical charismatic claims, but does not believe God’s word itself on the age of the Earth.

Brown said…

“Honestly, this is one subject where I say I could go either way in terms of my understanding of Scripture, as far as young-earth versus old-earth, and I don’t have the scientific acumen to debate… Most things I like to come down with a definite position and say ‘This is my view,’ but in my humble view, the Scriptures could be read either way in terms of young earth or old. But this much I know: the main message is to tell us who God is and the nature of God. That’s what we should focus on.”

Speaking of men like Dr. Michael Brown, Paul warned Timothy…

For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:6-7).

Although the genealogies of Scripture, which provide exact years of life lived prior to the conception of the preceding generation from Adam through Christ’s lineage – leaving a lock-solid account of the Earth’s age – Brown is still unwilling to take God at his word.

Brown said…

I recognize that God’s Word does tell us that one day with the Lord is like a thousand years, and I see that the word ‘yom’—day in the book of Genesis—it can be used for daytime—day and night, right?—or it can be used for day and night together—that’s a yom—or it he second chapter, the phrase ‘beyom’—literally in the day of—simply means when. And then we know there’s the day of the Lord that can be a longer period of time, and then there are other passages in Scripture that seem to speak of God working in a way that is over a period.”

Dr. Brown continues to be promoted as a sincere and solid brother-in-Christ by quasi-Reformed Phoenix apologist, James White, who seems to have little in common with Brown other than holding a similar view of Bible translation (Brown, unlike White, also denies the sufficiency of Scripture by insisting on the need for extra-biblical revelation).
