New York City Becomes First City to Pay for Abortions for Low-income Families
With many liberal states legalizing late-term abortions are we really surprised? Pro-abortion activists in the Big Apple are lobbying for a public policy that would have the city set aside 250,000 dollars to aide low-income families in paying for abortions. This will make New York City the first city to pay for the indescrimite murder of the un-born.
NYC Mayor and 2020 presidential hopeful , Bill de Blasio, and City Council Speaker Cory Johnson announced a budget agreement that includes funding abortions for low-income and those seeking abortions from out-of-state.
This pro-abortion group said in a Facebook post:
“NYAAF is getting $250k from New York City! That makes NYC the first city in the country to directly fund abortions — and that’s something to celebrate!”
City officials report that 250,000 dollars should cover the cost of aborting 500 unborn babies, at 500 dollars per procedure.
Some claim that NYC funding abortions is a response to pro-life laws from states such as Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio.
City Councilwoman Carlina Rivera said regarding this news:
“We heard the news on the abortion bans across the country. Many of us in New York felt helpless. We wanted to do more.”
A policy analyst for the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute said the funding was done under the radar to avoid a fight from pro-lifers.
According to Coalition for the Homeless, New York City homelessness has reached the highest levels since the Great Depression. In NYC , the number of homeless New Yorkers sleeping each night in municipal shelters is 70 percent higher than it was ten years ago.
While New York homelessness levels are higher than at the time of the Great Depression, this sinful city is now funding abortions to eradicate the poor. By this logic, they might as well fund homeless murder as well.
