Is this ‘Picture of the Year’ for President Trump?

News Division

Few things should touch our heart as much as this photograph. Taken on World Down Syndrome Day at the White House, President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence gathered with some individuals with Down Syndrome to listen to their concerns and celebrate their lives.

While liberals are arguing that it’s immoral for women to have babies, and nations like Iceland are leading the way in an intentional genocide against those with Down Syndrome, Donald Trump is giving them an honored place at America’s house.

Donald Trump is not a moral man. He does not, in any sense, show signs of conversion and neither has he articulated a credible profession of faith in Jesus. However, Donald Trump does seem to have a sense of human decency that is altogether absent from the Democratic Party. In short, Trump seems to grasp that we shouldn’t kill babies in the womb because they will have special challenges.

Trump tweeted:

Today we celebrate the lives and achievements of Americans with Down syndrome. @VP and I will always stand with these wonderful families, and together we will always stand for LIFE! #WorldDownSyndromeDay.

Vice President, Mike Pence, is a committed Christian with a very credible profession of faith in Jesus and spoke at the 2018 Southern Baptist Convention meeting. Leftists in the SBC, including officials with the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, were angered and obviously cold to the VP. A newly ‘woke’ Baptist blogger who was recently added to the ERLC, runs SBC Voices – Dave Miller – ran multiple articles attacking Mike Pence and the decision of the SBC to let him speak, including this one entitled, Mike Pence Should Not Address #SBC18.

While Donald Trump was busy defending and celebrating the lives of those with Down Syndrome, Southern Baptist leaders were busy promoting Marxist ideas like ‘white guilt’ and reparations. Russell Moore, president of the SBC’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) did not address World Down Syndrome Day from the ERLC website or platforms.

Could you have imagined a world, just a few years ago, when Donald Trump would be a better defender of life than the nation’s largest Protestant denomination?

According to Lila Rose, an outspoken pro-life adovcate, 100% of babies with Down Syndrome are aborted in Iceland, 98% in Denmark, and 67% in the United States.

What a beautiful, beautiful photograph.
