For years, Taylor Swift’s silence on political and cultural issues made her an adored celebrity to millions. Swift, in fact, was famously quiet during political hot-button years (so much so that it annoyed leftists). She told Time Magazine in 2012 that she doesn’t talk “about politics because it might influence other people.” Suddenly, out of nowhere, Swift became a leftist icon and started taking on Donald Trump, promising to be his greatest critic in 2020. Swift’s change from politically neutral to most notable Trump critic came so quickly and out-of-the-blue that The Hill wrote about these dramatic, over-night changes in Swift’s political song-and-dance.
Swift promised this Fall that she would “do everything possible to end Donald Trump’s autocracy.” Her sudden re-birth as an activist had many people scratching their heads.
Why did the once-conservative country star suddenly start talking politics?
Now it makes total sense. George Soros, the Democrat’s billionaire sugar daddy, now owns the Nashville songstress and has purchased her like a Vaudeville can-can dancer.
Swift was clearly not happy earlier this year when Scooter Braun, a music manager, purchased Big Machine Label Group, which owned the rights to Swift’s first six albums. Big Machine Label Group would not let Swift “buy back” her music rights in 2015, starting a feud between the artist and the music label that made her famous and rich. Braun, who purchased her music with Big Machine Label Group, was the music manager for Kanye West who bullied her on stage at the 2009 MTV music awards.
This led to Taylor Swift saying that she was “grossed out” that Braun bought her music.
However, last night, Swift spoke out about who exactly helped Braun make that extremely large 300 million dollar purchase of the country music label. It was George Soros.
We kid you not.
Watch below.
Swift said…
“After I was denied the chance to purchase my music outright, my entire catalog was sold to Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings in a deal that I’m told was funded by the Soros family, 23 Capital, and that Carlyle Group.”
Swift clearly feels that Braun has her under his thumb, and reported that the label group was trying to prevent her from performing her own music on stage.
What is Soros trying to accomplish by buying the music rights to major entertainment “influencers” and holding it over their heads? How far can he make a celebrity go by purchasing their life’s work and holding it as ransom?
