Charismatic Southern Baptist Prophesies Denominational Unity in 2 Years

News Division

Do you remember back when Southern Baptists believed in the Sufficiency of Scripture because they were Cessationists like God intended? Ah, the good old days, when Southern Baptists and Pentecostals were distinguishable.

A Southern Baptist pastor, Ronnie Phillips Jr, frequents charismatic preaching circles and is prophesying, supposedly under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, that there will be denominational unity in the next two years.

The unity of the Southern Baptist Convention has been torn to shreds over the last year as its seminaries and entities have pushed Critical Race Theory and Cultural Marxism, causing division along the lines of ethnicity (whether or not we should be a respecter of persons), sentiments toward so-called “Social Justice,” egalitarianism, and even its own feminist-led #MeToo movement.

Have no fear, however. Abba House pastor, Ronnie Phillips Jr, says the Holy Spirit is promising complete denominational unity by 2021 (ostensibly in all denominations, including his own). This is good to know.

Charisma News cites Phillips as saying on a recent Charisma Podcast Network episode of “Charisma Connection, “The Bible says how good and pleasant it is for brothers and sisters to live together in unity (Ps. 133:1). It also says in Matthew 18, ‘for where two or three are gathered in my name, there will I be in the midst of them.’

Phillips continues, “Right now, the church is just as divided as the political world, but it’s changing because of the power of the Holy Spirit. I believe there is a generation rising that is going to reach people, and they’re going to put aside their differences and do kingdom things. I’m a part of that, and you’re a part of that.

Phillip’s church is hosting its annual Fresh Oil, New Wine Conference on March 3-6 in Hixson, Tennessee, and will feature charismatic prosperity preacher, Jentezen Franklin.

The church’s website explains that Phillips believes (and teaches) in the “five-fold ministry” which includes the office of Apostle. He’s also teaching currently on the spiritual gifts of healing and miracles. The church also boasts of utilizing “healing rooms.”

The church is indeed listed as a Southern Baptist Church on the SBC church search website. It appears that the New Apostolic Reformation is even devouring the SBC.
