Pastor Preaches with “Inflatable Tube Guy” During Sermon

News Division

It’s hard to say who preached a better sermon at Victory Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Sunday, Paul Daugherty who screamed inspiring affirmations at the audience or the inflatable tube man who thankfully said nothing.

Toss up.

You might have seen them at used car lots, used by salesmen to get the attention of passerby. The official name for the device is the “wacky waving inflatable tube guy.”

Paul Daugherty, who co-pastors the church with his wife, apparently thought the car-lot prop would enhance his message so he brought it onto the stage and preached about it and, occasionally, to it.

This was not a children’s church. It was a group of adults. You can watch the video below.

The Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative and sufficient Word of God, which cuts as sharp as any two-edged sword and is able to divide assunder soul and spirit, joint and marrow. If preached in the power of the Spirit (which is different than just hollering at a crowd), used car-lot gimmicks aren’t necessary.
