SBC MegaChurch Says LGBT Community is the Chief Cornerstone

The First Baptist Church or Orlando (SBC), pastored by David Uth (who polemicists have recently criticized for having a cultist preach from his pulpit), hosted a church and LGBT unity event last night. Paying closer attention to the naming and claiming, strange-fire decreeing and declaring from Ronnie Floyd at the annual Southern Baptist Convention meeting, I was unaware of the meeting at Orlando until I received a text from fellow polemicist, Justin Peters, apprising me of the situation. Justin had been watching the video of the proceedings with his dear wife, and were sitting in stunned silence and indignant astonishment at what was unfolding on the screen.

Please note: You will find absolutely no Gospel. You will find no Biblical truth. You will find no talk of repentance, sin, confession, or forgiveness. Again, you will find absolutely no semblance of Gospel. It is entirely absent from the event.
Here’s what you will find.
You will find a long string of pastors and impastors (read that: female ‘pastors’), who are systematically and one-by-one preaching the slain LGBTQXYZ individuals straight into Heaven, with no questions asked. What you will see is, in fact, a full-out assault on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. FBC Orlando, and the ministers gathered, are espousing the doctrine of justification by death.
As the LGBT crowd gathers with FBC Orlando, David Uth says, “We’ve gathered together as God’s people and as a community of faith.”
Uth then quotes 1 Thessalonians 4:13, “We grieve, but not as those without hope” and applies it to the slain LGBTQXY community. Of course, 1 Thessalonians 4 is speaking of grieving for those who are “dead in Christ” (verse 16), and not those who die in their trespasses and sins. Because of 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, we can be confident that those slain who were unrepentant in the sin of homosexuality most certainly did not die in Christ, and if we grieve for them, we can have no hope for their eternal salvation.
Uth says that what FBC Orlando was doing, in gathering the LGBT to unify in worship with them, is imitating the Scriptures. He says, “Throughout the scriptures, they were called to come together for mutual support and comfort and affirmation.” Somehow, the Scriptural references of gathering with the unrepentant sexually immoral for worship and affirmation escape me.
Dr. Larry Hillis quotes 1st Peter 2:9, applying Peters words to the church, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” and applies it to the LGBT community of Orlando. Hillis explains, “We are a peculiar people because we know how to not let theological agreements get in the way of love.”
Most atrociously, Hillis then eludes to Ephesians 2:20, which refers to Christ as the chief cornerstone, and he asserted that in Orlando, the LGBT Community is the “Head Cornerstone.”
Another speaker, quoting the high priestly prayer of John 17 which was explicitly not prayed for the world, but for those given to Christ out of the world (verse 9), applying Jesus’ prayer to the LGBT “community.”
Sodomites who were present at the club during the shooting were asked to stand, and they were rewarded by the church with a standing ovation.
Then, the National Director for the LGBTQ Campaign Taskforce, Victoria Kirby York – got up to talk about how hard it is for the LGBTQXYZ community. What they didn’t tell the crowd is that York’s job is to lobby against the Religious Freedom Restoration Acts. Her job, in other words, is pretty much trying to ensure churches and people of faith be forced to act against their conscience in matters relating to sodomy. And there she was, preaching from behind the pulpit at FBC Orlando, scolding the church for “kicking out” kids who were gay (IE exercising Biblical church discipline) and blaming suicide rates for the LGBTQXYZ community on the church. Oh, and she says the “whosoever” in John 3:16 has no asterisk, and lesbians, gays and the transgendered are saved, too.
If I said it went down hill from there, it would be an understatement. Again, no Gospel. No talk of sin. Only affirming homosexuals in their sin and explicitly preaching them into Heaven. Here are screenshots from the YouTube video:

Oh, and they asked the LGBTQXYZ community forward so they could be “affirmed” by the laying on of hands. Then, the church “repented” for its “isolation.”
God help the SBC. This is the kinder, gentler, more politically correct SBC that Russell Moore is building.
