Thank you for this. I was especially provoked by the story about the church’s singing since I can recall reading a book on the Holocaust once and wondering what I would do if I had been in that situation. Then I realised that, of course, I knew the answer- I would do nothing since that is what I do about abortion today. I have now come to the realization that that is not an option
Amen and amen.
You know…this is one of those areas that I feel my views are too radical and extreme for even most abolitionists. This whole thing just hit a nerve- in a good way I suppose. Its because even though christians believe they’re killing babies- its “killing babies lite.” and is not viewed with the same severity or even reality as the other. We make a distinction between abortion killings and 2 year old killings, when there is no material or moral difference. If we saw a a bunch of women gather on the street and pull out knives and start stabbing their infants, we’d jump right in and we’d stop them them, even if the law said it was their right to do so. But with abortion clinics-killing-lite…not so much.
What do you mean by a ‘material difference’? Do you mean a morally relevant difference? If so, what does it add to mention ‘material’ in addition to ‘moral’?
I’ve slept since then, so I don’t recall to what you’re referring.
God bless you, Jordan.
