American Family Radio Now Covering SBC’s Compromise on Homosexuality

Bryan Fischer of Focus Point covered the SWBTS Firing of Dr. Lopez

The Southern Baptist Convention has been changing its tune on homosexuality, as reported by this website for a number of years, and its “softening tone on homosexuality” has even been reported in the Washington Post as early as 2014. Meanwhile, many Southern Baptists find it hard to believe that the denomination is turning liberal on homosexuality.

In reality, the SBC’s numerous entities have been almost uniformly taken over by Social Justice drones from Albert Mohler’s Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS). After the ouster of Paige Patterson at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (SWBTS), largely orchestrated by those heavily associated with Russell Moore at the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC), SWBTS replaced him Adam Greenway, an apprentice of Mohler. Immediately, SWBTS fired conservative minority professors and replaced them with lily-white liberals from Mohler’s Social Justice school.

One such minority conservative who was canned with Dr. Robert Lopez, who is one who is described by 1 Corinthians 6:11 as having been washed, purified, and sanctified by Christ after once being a homosexual. Lopez was told by SWBTS to no longer teach that God will change the hearts of homosexuals.

Those associated with Albert Mohler, including Greenway and his appointed leaders at SWBTS, are under the thumb of the Democrat-funded Gospel Coalition, which is heavily invested in the LGBT agenda to convince Christians that homosexuality is not something that will be removed by God in the heart of believers.

Thankfully, American Family Radio’s Bryan Fischer interviewed Lopez on his program, Focus Point. You do not want to miss it. You can listen here.

“Daily, the work at Pulpit & Pen is filling the void of places where 100 men once stood and that is not an exaggeration. Day in and day out, they tirelessly vet offerings and influence of ministries around the world that they may guard the little sheep from the least to the most damning of errors. This is hard, unappreciative and alienating toil...

“JD Hall and his contributors such as Seth Dunn, are almost single-handedly leading the way in a rescue attempt of conservative Evangelicalism and especially the Southern Baptist Convention.”

-Alex A. Guggenheim
