How horrible does your preaching have to be that you’ve got to treat your church service like a carnival side-show or ball-game? Our friends at the Christian News Network reveal that Scott Young, the senior pastor of Church of Hope in Sarasota, teamed up with a radio shock jock to deliver hotdogs to his congregation during the worship service and sermon.
Predictably, the preacher was trying to make some lame spiritual point about such-and-such. In reality, it demonstrates the epically sad state of American evangelicalism and the disrespect and irreverence people have for holy things.
But then again…Church of Hope in Sarasota doesn’t seem like a holy thing to be fair.
