The current second-place contender for the Democratic presidential primary, Elizabeth Warren, wants taxpayers to fund so-called gender-reassignment surgeries for people who suffer from gender dysphoria.
Gender can’t be reassigned by mutilating the human body through plastic surgery, because it’s biologically assigned to sex, which is chromosomal. Being anti-science, today’s Democratic Party rejects the realities of biology when it comes to topics like abortion, homosexuality, and transgenderism. Warren’s crusade to make taxpayers fund something that’s technically scientifically impossible is the latest example of the Democratic Party’s refusal to take science into consideration when forming their political positions.
Warren argued that “everyone should be able to access high-quality, affordable, gender-affirming health care…” By “gender-affirming,” Warren is referring to gender-reassignment, the surgery in which profit-motivated surgeons mutilate genitalia or conduct other deforming surgeries to satisfy the cravings of mentally ill patients.
The petition being circulated by Warren (linked in tweet above) demands the government pay for such bodily mutilation.

The Trump-Pence Administration is trying to undermine the Health Care Rights Law, a lifesaving law that helps transgender people access the health care they need without discrimination from health care providers or insurers. Now, the Department of Health and Human Services is proposing a regulation that falsely says discrimination against transgender people is legal.
The problem is that the proposed changes which the petition wants to stop are to the Affordable Care Act (Section 1557) which prevents “discrimination” due to gender. However, the courts have ruled that this often must include bodily mutilation surgeries.
The Trump administration is merely seeking to ensure that the U.S. taxpayer doesn’t have to pay for this type of surgery.
