South Florida captain and star on Bravo’s Below Deck Mediterranean reality series, Sandy Yawn has gone public with relationship with gospel singer Leah Shafer.
Yawn recalls that she met Leah Shafer on Facebook:
I came across your show, congratulations, many blessings,
Adding:
[It was the] many blessings” [that] caught her eye.
Exuberantly, she explains, “It just happened, when you meet another soul that you connect with at such a deep level, it is unexplainable and so beautiful.” Yawn claims, “God is love. He doesn’t care.”
Sandy Yawn recently moved to Denver to be with her special girlfriend.
However, the real story is not captain Sandy Yawn, it’s gospel singer and founder of Fuse Worship, Leah Shafer.
Who is Leah Shafer?

Leah Shafer is a Christian/Gospel Recording Artist and Concert Headliner. She has recorded over 6 CD’s. She was a finalist on PAX TV’s “Star Search” and a regular cast member on NBC’s show “The Singing Bee.” She has appeared 20 times on TBN’s International “Praise the Lord” broadcast and they are now featuring a re-occuring 30 minute special called “Story of My Life”.
Leah currently tours churches, but mostly outside the church walls. She has a heart for women’s ministry and prison ministry. Leah has sung at over 12 Broncos Games including the AFC Championship Game for over 50 millions viewers and the World Championship Denver Celebration for 1 million people.
She has been a 5 time guest on the Angie Austin Radio Show ( The Good News) sharing her testimony and Corner Cafe with Rachel Maines and Jamie Daniels. She was a main soloist at Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Life Church for over 17 years.
When she isn’t singing, she is the Owner of a successful Med Skin Studio in Lonetree Colorado. Her passion in the beauty industry begun when she was 17 years old.
She is a wife and mother to their amazing daughter, Lolo. Born and raised in Southern California Leah and her family moved to Colorado 7 years ago to leave the harried pace of California. She and her husband, Ross, are thrilled to call Colorado their home – and the Broncos and Rockies their team:)
