The circus-church known as Church By The Glades in Coral Springs Florida is well known for being unorthodox, unbiblical, and outright apostate. Recently, for a sermon carnival titled More :: Move Fancy Please, a cover for hip-hop artist by the name of Iggy Azalea performed a self-indulgent carnival act of worldliness and self-promotion. This is the same “church” that put on a circus act a few years ago. And the lead pastor, David Hughes, has been called out for teaching a watered down gospel and twisting Scripture on many occasions.
That’s actually quite normal for the seeker-sensitive man-centered churches like this. Other similar pastors would include Steven Furtick of Elevation, Mark Driscoll (the cussing pastor), and Perry Noble of Newspring, who recently had a meltdown on Twitter over college football.
But this might be the worst circus act ever put on by Hughes and Co. The lyrics in this song are beyond ridiculous and contain foul language that is completely inappropriate for anyone calling themselves a Christian. The entire song is about promoting herself as a vain, money-loving, power-hungry woman who doesn’t care about anything else but herself. Some of the lyrics are,
First things first, I’m the realest (realest)
Drop this and let the whole world feel it (let ’em feel it)
And I’m still in the murder business
I can hold you down, like I’m givin’ lessons in physics (right)
You should want a bad b**** like this (ha)
…
Feels so good getting what I want, yeah
Keep on turning it up
Chandelier swinging, we don’t give a f***
You can view the video of the “church” performance below, but **WARNING** explicit lyrics.
Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues; – Revelation 18:4
