In a speech delivered before the Committee and Oversight on Reform in the U.S. Congress on Thursday in which she spoke of her deep Christian faith and claimed that Republicans would reject Jesus if he walked through the door.
Ocasio-Cortez preached, “if Christ himself walked through these doors and said what he said thousands of years ago ― that we should love our neighbor and our enemy, that we should welcome the stranger, fight for the least of us, that it is easier … for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into a kingdom of heaven ― he would be maligned as a radical and rejected from these doors.”
Ocasio-Cortez then explained that her Christian faith and Jesus say, “all people are holy.”
In speaking of the LGBTQ, she said, “I know and it is part of my faith that all people are holy and all people are sacred. Unconditionally,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
1 Samuel 2:2 says, “There are none holy like the Lord.” In fact, Jesus taught that no one besides God is even good, let alone holy (Mark 10:18).
Ostensibly, Ocasio-Cortez was referring to the innate worth of human beings or the sacredness of human life and not their personal holiness.
That would make sense, except that the congresswoman believes parents should be able to ruthlessly slaughter their unborn children with sharp blades and chemical weapons.
Ocasio-Cortez then appealed to Jesus throughout her remaining time, alleging that the Christian faith requires stealing from people their income and property in order to redistribute it to those who didn’t work for it.
