Despite the efforts of The Gospel Coalition (funded by James Riady), the ERLC (funded by George Soros), and many seminaries and parachurch organizations with a leftward trajectory (Cru, InterVarsity, Southeastern Seminary), it seems that evangelicals will still overwhelmingly support Donald Trump in 2020.
Exit polling demonstrates that Donald Trump won 94% of the evangelical vote in the New Hampshire Republican primary.
Oddly, the exit polls did not distinguish between white evangelicals and non-white evangelicals.
The Democrat exit polls did not ask about evangelicals or born-again believers, but did ask about regular religious service attendance. It seems that Democrats aren’t so united in faith beliefs.
The highest percentage of those who occasionally attend worship services (49% total of the Democrat voters) voted for Klobuchar (24%) who is a member of the ultra-leftist pro-abortion and pro-homosexuality United Church of Christ. The next highest was for Pete Buttigieg (23%), a homosexual, and Bernie Sanders (21%) an atheist of Jewish ancestry.
The highest percentage of those who never attend a worship service voted for Bernie Sanders (31%).
With Bernie Sanders as the clear front-runner in the 2020 race, it seems that this election will come down to Christians versus non-Christians in the general election.
