New York Charging Residents for Star Gazing

New York Charging Residents for Star Gazing

It’s highly speculated that urban areas lean liberal because their detachment from nature changes their view of the world. Without being able to see the handiwork of God in the heavens and the nature around them, they begin to replace God in their worldview with a man-centered humanism. It should not come as a surprise, and yet it does, that New York is now charging residents a fee if they want to look up at the night sky.

As you can see from the photo above, New York is charging $35 as a “star gazing fee” if someone wants to visit one of six parks to look up at the sky at night. You can see the fee and paperwork at their website here.

In order to obtain the permit to look at stars, you must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle registration. Incidentally, you don’t need those documents to vote in the Empire State.

Astronomist, Neil deGrasse Tyson, mocked the notion.
