It sounds like a farce, but this actually happened and it has heretofore gone unreported in the media. A “Christian” megachurch in Cincinnati ran a tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, within which they endorsed and recommended the congregation listen to a Islamic podcast called Good Muslim Bad Muslim.
Wokeness has jumped to a whole new level in American evangelicalism.
Good Muslim Bad Muslim is hosted by Tanzila “Taz” Ahmed and Zahra Noorbakhsh and is about the “American Muslim female experience.” The two women advocate for values that are not characteristically Islamic, including premarital sex and immorality (hence the name, Bad Muslim). The two gave an award to a woman in a hijab for watching 50 Shades of Grey. And yet, Crossroads Church in Cincinnati has recommended their podcast to the church body.
The author, Illya Thomas, claims to be a follower of
Jesus Dr. King.
Let me be clear—I am NOT a Martin Luther King Jr. fan. I seek to be a follower…
In all the celebration of Dr. King, we often focus heavily on his courageous acts when his interest would be that we prioritize fixing the broken laws he openly disobeyed.
Thomas goes on to claim that Christians are worse than the Klan…
…white moderate Christians were a bigger stumbling block than the Klu Klux Klan because they preferred maintaining order over bringing about justice…
He goes on to end the article by espousing textbook Cultural Marxism and using the language of ‘white privilege’ by adding…
I’m going to take steps to extend the male, Christian, heterosexual, able-bodied privilege I have with those who are grasping to pull their bootstraps up, yet are still catching up because they started out way behind.
However, it’s the recommended resources linked in the article that are even more unbelievable. Linked for the church members to “learn” about justice include – among what is 100% resources from the radical left – a recommendation for the Good Muslim Bad Muslim podcast.
Crossroads Church, which advertises as “90 Day Tithe Test” on the website, is a muti-site seeker-friendly congregation.
Remember back when Christian churches were Christian? Good times.
