Out of our cold, dead hands.
That seems to be the message of Liberty University president, Jerry Falwell, Jr. The Christian leader was asked if he supported civil disobedience and he answered in the affirmative.
“They’re up in arms. I’ve never seen anything like it. And I would not be surprised at all if the Citizens and the police, in a good part of Virginia decide not to enforce whatever the governor and legislature passes.”
He was then asked, “Is that dangerous, though?”
Falwell went on to respond, “Sometimes when the government is out of step with the people they represent…it leaves us no choice. If it’s really bad and I can see supporting something like that…”
