In a shocking development, filthy porn rag Hustler sent out their official 2019 Christmas Card featuring a cartoon depiction of President Donald Trump having just been gunned down in the streets of New York and lying in a pool of his own blood.
In other startling news headlines, scientists have determined that water is still wet, and food remains necessary for human survival.
In the cartoon “Christmas Card” (“Peace on Earth” having been rejected for this year’s theme, apparently), a man is shown holding a smoking gun and declaring, “I just shot Donald Trump on Fifth Avenue, and no one arrested me,”
A subsequent panel has the shooter standing over Trump’s dead body, gun in hand, smiling, while onlookers all declare in unison, “Merry Christmas” in a lovely, antique, Old English-style font.
At the bottom right corner are the words, “From All Of Us At Hustler.”
Hustler has evidently confirmed that the card is genuine, and “was our official holiday card for 2019.”
Of note, the cards were distributed to “a number of GOP congressional offices” in December.
“Here’s all you need to know about the radical Left,” Congressman Mike Johnson (Republican, LA) tweeted. “A young staffer of mine opened this in a stack of holiday mail today. Just imagine if a conservative had distributed such a disgusting and hateful piece about a Democrat. I hope this will be investigated by the @secretservice.”
Update: Pulpit & Pen has uncovered new evidence today that Congressman Johnson is still holding his breath.
What should the Christian response to all this be?
Not this, at least:
“This is outrageous! Someone must pay! Call the police! Call the National Guard! Call Fox News! Can you believe this? Hustler Magazine did something evil!”
Stop being shocked, like you’re an 80-year-old grandmother living in 1947.
No, we’re not shocked by this. We’re not even surprised. This sort of thing will continue until there is a widespread civilizational repentance.
Until then, do some good things to turn back the darkness.
Protect your kids.
Go to church.
Just as “Democrats are the real racists” will never work on a rhetorical level, so “Leftists are the real violent agitators” will prove similarly inefficient. It won’t even help with the primary objective of good rhetoric, which is persuasion.
Just as, for Leftists, racism is whiteness, so also for them, right-wing free speech is violence, and left-wing violence is free speech.
Stop expecting fairness. The Left, the Devil’s Team, will never play fair.
If you’re inclined to engage in the Meme Wars to counteract shots like this one by Hustler—and if you have the chops—go for it. But here are three Guiding Principles:
(1) Don’t leave your Biblical ethics at the door. Wrong is still wrong. Don’t go after your enemy’s kids or engage in actual calls for violence against people.
(2) Learn to hit hard, fast, and continuously. Don’t embrace the conservative penchant for “Noble Victory.”
Play to win.
Fight for victory.
Take the son of a guns down.
the difference between Lords and Commoners.
Take down the Lords, spare the Commoners if at all possible.
The Lords are the Apostles of Wickedness, the Dark Villains who are the destroyers of Western Civilization and ultimately of Christ and His Bride.
The Commoners are those regular Joes and Sallys just out there living their lives and raising their kids. But they’re folks who have bought into the lies served up continuously throughout the years. In government schools. In college. In movies, music, news shows, sitcoms, and government edicts.
Those are the people we are out to rescue. Rhetoric (like Memes) can be helpful in that regard, but ultimately, these people need the Gospel. Be willing to talk to them in a way you might not with the Lords of Evil. In all things, Soli Deo Gloria.
Let's STOP the Modern Day Downgrade
“Daily, the work at Pulpit & Pen is filling the void of places where 100 men once stood and that is not an exaggeration. Day in and day out, they tirelessly vet offerings and influence of ministries around the world that they may guard the little sheep from the least to the most damning of errors. This is hard, unappreciative and alienating toil... JD Hall and his contributors such as Seth Dunn, are almost single-handedly leading the way in a rescue attempt of conservative Evangelicalism and especially the Southern Baptist Convention.” -Alex A.
