In this message from Acts 23:1-11, this sermon from Acts of the [Only] Apostles sermon series focuses on Paul’s disregard of Ananias as the High Priest. During his inquisition, Paul is smacked across the face and insults the high priest. Modern English renderings have it wrong, regarding Paul’s expression, “I did not know this man was the High Priest.” In fact, Paul did not REGARD him as High Priest. This passage is compared to Hebrews 4, explaining that our only High Priest is Jesus.
