Podcast: He Who Judges Without Impartiality

On this episode, JD provides a point-by-point rebuttal to James White’s critiques about our coverage of the sensationalism and lasciviousness of Apologia Church and the Young, Restless and Reformed (YRR) movement. He does so on the grounds of two main points as covered by JD. First is the “Dissection of a Downgrade” assertion that Downgrade often happens when someone we like does something questionable, and we end up defending them and then IT (the questionable thing), when ordinarily we would not. Our personal feelings, family and relationships often cloud our judgment. Secondly, on the grounds that deflection from real issues are usually done in the name of (1) all the “good stuff” about the person we’re defending in spite of it being an irrelevant red herring and (2) attacking the messenger, and castigating those who question with a series of pejoratives. JD demonstrates how White has ignored all attempts to discuss Christian Liberty theologically and thoughtfully and instead engages in these deflections. We pray a thoughtful discussion can be had by both sides, which as of yet, has not happened.
