Hillsong Follows Sleazy Christmas Special With Another Sensuality Show

News Division

In 2015, Hillsong performed their now-infamous “Sleazy Night” Christmas program. Steven Kozar at Pirate Christian Radio wrote…

Aesthetically, it’s just weird, confusing and embarrassing.

Hillsong Music Director: “Hey everybody, I’ve got a great idea! Let’s take the beloved and peaceful Christmas hymn ‘Silent Night’ and turn it into a loud, obnoxious, roaring twenties style, Las Vegas big-band production! You know, kinda like Christmas in a whorehouse! What’ya think?!”

Everybody Who Should Know Better at Hillsong: (silence)

But beyond the ridiculous nature of this one particular song/video there’s the more serious problem that this “thing” claims to be the church…

Hillsong leads the way when it comes to “churches” featuring worldly, gigantic and expensive spectacles to attract a large audience. They are laughing all the way to the bank, too, as this global empire continues to gobble up followers around the world…

The video from 2015’s cabaret Christmas performance is below (it was removed by Hillsong, so the best we can do is a video of a video)…

Michael Brown, the infamous NAR apologist (who is being ‘Elephant Roomed’ by James White) defended them in the pages of Charisma Mag, writing…

[This] was meant to be the world’s version of Silent Night, which was anything but holy.

The pastor also explained that later in the Christmas play, in adoration of Jesus, Silent Night was sung again, this time the right way, in stark contrast with Herod’s version.

Now, you still may not like what Hillsong did, and you still might not agree with their overall methodology, but the great reminder for me was this: I went through every scenario that I could think of, trying to figure out any possible explanation for this travesty, and I could find none.

Yet there was an explanation, and it was one that I had never considered. Honestly, who would have ever thought of it without being told?

So, Michael Brown excused Hillsong’s actions based upon information that they meant it to be lascivious flesh-show reminiscent of Herod. Okaaay.

This year’s Hillsong Christmas celebration was not much better. The video is below.

Thankfully, there was no open skirts flying open, but the short shorts and miles of thighs to behold were keeping with Hillsong’s fetish of sensuality. Entertaining to lost people, they are. Glorifying to God, they are not.

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what it the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. ” — Romans 12: 1-2
