This video was posted to YouTube by ILMFeed.com, a website which seeks to promote, “Positive stories about Islam & Muslims, inspiring articles, Islamic history and more.” They included the description, “Muslim schoolgirls sing ‘Insha Allah’ song at St. Pauls Cathedral at a memorial service for the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire which claimed the lives of 71 people.”

The Grenell Tower fire broke out on June 14 at the public housing building in west London. St. Paul’s Cathedral belongs to the Anglican Church and is the seat of the bishop of London and the Anglican diocese.

Some have speculated that given a lack of news coverage, the stirring on social media by the recent posting of this video may be “fake news.” Indeed, however, such took place. The BBC reported on this on December 14, writing, “Families held photographs of victims of the fire, while voice recordings from people at the scene of the fire were played to the congregation. The Al-Sadiq and Al-Zahra School Girls’ Choir then sang out the words: ‘Never lose hope’.”

Lyrics of the song they sang, Insha Allah, include the following:

Don’t despair and never loose hope
Cause Allah is always by your side
Insha Allah
Insya Allah you’ll find your way
Insha Allah
Insya Allah you’ll find your way

Turn to Allah
He’s never far away
Put your trust in Him
Raise your hands and pray
OOO Ya Allah
Guide my steps don’t let me go astray
You’re the only one that showed me the way,
Showed me the way
Insha Allah
Insya Allah we’ll find the way

Only four years ago, radical Muslims (a redundant term, if ever there was one) gathered to protest in St. Paul’s Cathedral during a Christmas Eve Eucharist service. The reason they were protesting included an assertion of the Bible’s fallibility. At that protest, in 2012, Jihadi, Anjem Choudary – who has been linked to terrorist groups like Al Gruabba and Islam4UK that have been banned by the UK government for hate speech and inciting terrorism – claimed that Jesus belonged to Islam and that British society was riddled with sin, saying, “We say Jesus is a Muslim prophet and not the Son of God.”

Four years after the unwanted Christmas Eve protest, the Islamic girls choir is praising Allah from inside the church by invitation.

If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting,11 for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works. – 2 John 10,11
