David Jeremiah, Charismatics, Rabbi, Anoint Donald Trump

News Division

An odd mishmash of religious folk gathered together in a steaming pile of ecumenical syncretism to anoint Donald Trump in prayer and blessings – a guy who doesn’t know if he “has ever asked God for forgiveness.” This is a real #facepalm moment for American evangelicalism.

David Jeremiah – Southern Baptist

Robert Jeffress – Southern Baptist

Kenneth Copeland – Pentecostal friend of the Pope  (who has the superpower of rebuking tornadoes and controlling the weather)

Paula White – Benny Hinn’s mistress Charismatic Evangelist

Rabbi Schneider – Jewish, obviously

What’s bringing together this island of spiritual misfits? Why, their united support for GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, of course! What else?

Donald Trump, who does not think he’s ever asked for forgivenessthat Donald Trump. Trump, the guy who can’t share any Bible versesthat Donald Trump. Donald Trump, the guy who was pro-choice just a few years ago and brags his pastor was Norman Vincent Peale because he started the power of positive thinking…that Donald Trump.

It’s a good thing there aren’t any actual evangelicals in this race to support (drop dead, Ted Cruz and Mike Huckabee). Jeremiah asking for a black guy to show up to help Trump…extra priceless.

The American political system, like American evangelicalism, has become a farce. Like two sitcoms that blur together, both comedies are merging into one, really poorly scripted program. Yesterday, Campbellite Willy Robertson endorsed Trump. It’s just…well. It’s like both farces have completely jumped the shark.

Both prophet and priest are ungodly; even in my house I have found their evil, declares the LORD. Therefore their way shall be to them like slippery paths in the darkness, into which they shall be driven and fall, for I will bring disaster upon them in the year of their punishment, declares the LORD. (Jeremiah 23:11-12 ESV)
